The mighty elephant god Ganesh sitting on a large lotus flower, dressed in a richly decorated orange coloured monks robe, a precious crown adorning his head. In two of his arms he is holding a beautiful woman and in the other two a spear and a cup. Writing in red and black ink above and verso.
Detailed and colourful miniature painting with mineral colours and gold on heavy paper, writing in red and black ink. Northern India (Rajasthan?), 19th century.
Sheet size: 28 x 20,5 cm
Decorative painting with small minor colour loss, altogether in very good condition.
