Map of Rügen with a decorative cartouche and coats of arms at the right and left side. Made like a chart with a compass card, after a map by Eilhard Lubbin, a mathematician and cartographer from Rostock.
Orig. coloured copper engraving by Gerardus Mercator, published by Jodocus Hondius, Amsterdam 1616, 37,7 x 47,7 cm.
Paper a little bit stained, at lower margin's centre an old bonding, otherwise very good condition.
