One of four large wall maps depicting the Continents Europe, Africa, America and Asia. Here depicted is Africa, divided in kingdoms and republics with a decorative title cartouche, which was designed by the engraver J. Arriet.
Large copper engraving printed from four plates, originally published by Gilles & Didier Robert de Vaugondy Paris 1767. Here the republished edition by Charles François Delamarche (1740-1817), Paris 1792.
Size c.: 98 x 112 cm (with a light green silk bordering)
Beautiful print and colours, original mounting, some minor restorations in the paper, some toning due to old age, altogether in good to very good condition.
