Collection of playing cards

A collection of early and creative designed playing cards of the noble society of Vienna with signatures written in brown ink of noble man and woman on the back side of most of the cards.

Signatures: Pepi Dietrichstein (Count Josef of Dietrichstein), Dettingen (Count of Dettingen), Molitor (Simon Molitor), Louis de Ligne (Ambassador around 1800 in Vienna), Prinzess de Clary borne Ligne, Langendonc (Langendonck Ambassador at the Austrian court), Legros(Josef Legros) and Heydeloff(Josef Heideloff – Artist)

6x Cards - colour: Hearts – wood cut and painting in ink, at the back signature written in brown ink.

1)            Ace of Hearts – Hungarian count, back side blank with signature: Molitor

2)            Two of Hearts – Cowering man with fur hat, back side blue circles and dot, signature: Molitor

3)            Three of Hearts – Sitting clergyman beneath him the devil, back side blank with  signature: Langendonc
