These beautiful large-format portraits of women by Yumeji were first published posthumously in 1938 as colour woodblock prints, printed by Katô Junji in Tokyo. These were based on watercolours that Yumeji created in 1920/21. Some woodblock printed editions of the ten portraits of women bear the series title "Onna jûdai" on the image. This colour woodblock print, as the early Katô editions, without series title.
