Inscribed in ink on verso: Meiji 28, 2nd month, 3rd day –Morita Michinosuke (森田 運之輔)
Size: H 22.5 x W 17 x H 2 cm
The name on the back side could indicate either an owner (publisher/printer?) or the carver of the block. Possibly the work of a student or apprentice work or a mingei (folk art) work.
So far no corresponding printed copy to be found. Very charming, somewhat naïve depiction. Rare.
