Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892)
The powerful daimyô and army commander Uesugi Kenshin (1530-1578) sits in a military camp during a war campaign against Takeda Shingen. Under a full autumn moon, he composes a Chinese-style poem while watching a flock of wild geese. A former monk, he wears the headgear of a Buddhist priest with his armour.

Excellent impression and colours, with lustre and relief printing. Unbacked, with full margins. A faint fold line in top left margin and a crease in bottom right corner, verso in top margin two small paper remnants from previous attachment. Overall very good condition.
