Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892)

The old warrior monk Daizenbô summons a ship to help the boy Hino Kumawakamaru escape from Sado Island after he had avenged the death of his father Hino Suketomo.

Excellent impression and colours. Unbacked, wide margins. Paper a little toned and brittle in margins, a few small paper defects. Overall still very good condition.
From the early second edition, published in the same year as the first edition, with two-coloured series cartouche and the publisher's round seal "Tetsu" at lower left margin.
