Kasamatsu Shirô (1898-1991)
Mount Fuji seen from Shizuura at Suruga bay on a hazy evening. The last light of the setting sun illuminates the snowy peak of the mountain, the branches of an old pine are framing the scene.

Excellent impression and very good colours, a little bit faded, at top and left margins very faint narrow mat-stain. Paper a little bit age-toned, minimal creasing traces and faint spots. Overall very good condition.
Extremely rare, fine and atmospheric image of Mt. Fuji, printed almost exclusively in blue tones (aizuri). From the first and only edition, printed before 1941. No later copies are known.
