Kawase Hasui (1883-1957)

A view through a bamboo grove over spring green fields on the Tamagawa River, a lonely boat on the calm water, on the far bank scattered farmhouses and blooming trees in front of a range of hills.

Excellent impression, colours and condition. Verso along the top margin paper remnant from the previous original mounting on the larger calendar page. Only one edition (unnumbered) of 500 copies was printed. This image was for the month of April. A rare and especially lovely image.
