Kasamatsu Shirô (1898-1991)

On a rainy evening a lady under her umbrella is passing by the pagoda of Tennôji temple in Yanaka, Tokyo. The pagoda was destroyed in a fire in 1957, and has not been rebuilt.

Very nice impression and colours. From an early postwar edition, printed c. 1945-57. Paper slightly age-toned, verso in upper left margin a little brownish. Two small usual drying holes in left margin. Few weak horizontal creases smoothed and unobtrusive. Overall very good condition
