Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858)

A group of porters with festively decorated trunks on the Tokaido road. Behind rice fields in the background to the right is Shiratori Hill with the tomb of the mythical prince Yamato Takeru.

Very nice impression and colours, with well visible wood-grain and nice bokashi. Thinly backed, margins a little bit narrower at the sides, at the left side a little bit uneven and a fold along the margin. Two tiny wormholes in upper margin. Overall nice condition.
