Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) (1786-1865)

Three women and a girl with their booty of collected shells and a captured octopus returning from the sea on a summer's day. In the background on the beach a multitude of other shellfish hunters are bustling about.

Good impression and very good colours. Unbacked, untrimmed, the two left sheets mounted together, the right sheet separate. Small binding holes and wormholes at margins. Rubbed at lower margin, some smaller stains and (print-related?) colour wipes. Good to very good overall condition.
