Yoshida Hiroshi (1876-1950)

Pilgrims with horses in the morning dawn on their way to the summit of Mt. Fuji. They are taking a rest at the so called horse turning point (umagaeshi), the highest point unto which it was possible to climb the mountain by horse.

Excellent impression and colours. Paper a little bit age tanned, partly uneven toning. Pencil inscription in bottom margin partially rubbed off, a small creased area and short tear in bottom margin. Overall very good condition. Early impression, printed by Yoshida himself.
