Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949)
Japanese bush warbler (Jap.: Uguisu, Lat.: Cettia diphone), also called Japanese nightingale, singing on a blossoming branch of a plum tree.

Very nice impression and colours. Perfectly fresh condition. At upper left margin round watermark „To“. At upper margin slightly fixed to an original (?) presentation matting made of Japanese paper. Fold at upper left margin's corner. Somewhat later edition from the original woodblocks, about 1948-50.
