Kasamatsu Shirô (1898-1991)

White and pink flowering lotus at Shinobazu pond in Ueno, Tokyo. Reflected in the water is the rooftop of the Benten temple on the islet in the pond.

Excellent impression and colours. From the first edition, with date in margin. Full margins. Some slight small foxing spots, mainly in margins. Two small printer’s colour smudges in margin. Verso in upper margin two thin small paper remnants from previous hinging. Overall very good condition. With Unsôdô's watermark (Un or Gei) in bottom left corner. The small cut-out in bottom right corner is the registration mark (kentô) for printing.
Rarely seen print.; this first impression was printed in a small edition of only 100 copies.
