Isoda Koryûsai (1735-1790)

Lovers on a futon, the woman supporting herself with a neckroll bolster. At their feet a bed-cover with a kasuri pattern, pushed together. At their heads a smoking box. On the right wall an embossed seal.

Series: Untitled

Date: c. 1770/71

Size: Horizontal Chûban, 18,2 x 25,5 cm

Fine impression, with embossing, in very good colours, with a little pigment oxidization. Some trimming in top. Some soiling and rubbing, mostly in margins, a few pinholes and a wormhole restored at right margin. Overall still very good age-appropriate condition. Rare.
