Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858)

Visitors marvel at the view of the vast city landscape, from the top level of Sanmon gate of Shiba Zôjô-ji temple, one of the most popular temples in Edo. Above their heads the gate’s roof beams.

Very good impression and good colours, yellow faded. Unbacked, wide margins. Slightly stained in the sky, otherwise fine condition.

Extremely rare print, the perspective effect unusually enhanced by the roof at the top; from a rare Edo meisho series.
