Mizuno Toshikata (1866-1908)

A cheerful picnic under a blooming cherry tree. A young woman entertains two samurai behind a curtain with a puppet made out of a sake bucket.

Excellent early impression in excellent colours, with strongly visible woodgrain. With gauffrage and metal pigment (oxidised). Full margins, unbacked. Paper a little toned, in margins some minor soiling and small stains. Overall very good condition.
