A rare print from Hiroshige’s so-called „Third Harimaze Tokaido“.

Excellent impression with very fine, fresh colours. Unbacked, wide margins. Few stains, mostly in margins; some small wormage, paper minimally soiled and toned. Overall very good condition.

Cf. Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Van Vleck Collection, 1980.2065; 1984.0990; 1984.0991. Not in the collection of the British Museum; MFA Boston only has the the bottom two pictures as cutouts.

Complete harimaze sheets by Hiroshige are rare, since more often than not they were cut apart in Japan.
