Keisai Eisen (1790-1848)

Travellers on the road through a windy plain, Mount Fuji in the background. In the center a lower ranking samurai is carrying his belongings on his shoulders; To the left with we can see a Komusô, a Zen-buddhist mendicant monk wearing his large straw hat and carrying his encased shakuhachi flute in his left hand hand. He carries his luggage on his back.
