Mizuno Toshikata (1866-1908)

A young woman, dressed in a lavender-striped ikat kimono, standing pensively at the window and holding an open book in her lowered left hand. In the garden behind her a butterfly is fluttering over a flowering tree peony.

Very good impression and colours, with lustre printing in the hair. The usual vertical centrefold, upper margin minimally trimmed, otherwise very nice and fresh condition.
