Kobayashi Kiyochika (1847-1915)

A scene from the first Sino-Japanese war (1894/95): Wounded Japanese sailors and an officer on deck of the cruiser “Matsushima” with the big canet gun on the left, during the heavy naval battle at the Yalu river.

Very fine print and colour. The triptych is fitted together, on the back side of the print are some remains of an old backing, the margins on the right and left side and at the bottom are slightly trimmed. Paper a bit tanned due to age. Altogether in very good condition.
