Ogata Gekkô (1859-1920)
A lovely woman vendor in spring, holding an Uchiwa fan. Her large bucket is possibly containing Yamakawa sweets. Cherry blossom petals are falling like snow from the sky.

Excellent impression and colours, printed with a little metal pigment and gauffrage. Full wide margins (not pictured here). Paper minimally age toned. A faint diagonal fold line (smoothed), some minimal creasing and paper irregularities. Overall very nice condition.
A rarely seen series by Gekkô, from which only three prints are known or have been published at all. The relation to Mt. Fuji here is by allusion only.
