Paul Geissler (1881 – 1965). Painter and etcher from Erfurt.

He studied at the Arts schools in Erfurt and Weimar and und the painter Hermann Sondermann (1832-1901). He specialized on etchings. He made many study trips through Western Europe and he visited the U.S.A. as well. In 1943 he was appointed professor in Germany.
